Birdie’s at the Barn is such a wonderful toy store! They have a curated an amazing selection of unique, fun, and thoughtfully chosen toys that you don’t always find online or at the bigger stores. Everything feels special and you can tell there’s a lot of care that goes into selecting what they carry.
I was especially excited to find the new Pokémon Tonies box! It’s such a fun addition to our collection and made for an awesome gift for my daughter. It’s always exciting to find something unique and new that you wouldn’t necessarily see at the big-box stores.
Definitely worth stopping by if you’re looking for a great toy, a unique gift, or just want to discover something new. We’ll definitely be back!
What started as a late-night online search for my kids somehow led me to one of my favorite small-business finds—Birdie’s at the Barn!
I’m all the way in Texas, and I had never shopped with them before finding them online. From my very first interaction, though, I understood why people love this shop. The kindness, communication, and personal attention have been absolutely outstanding. They went above and beyond to help me, and every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful.
I’m a huge supporter of small businesses, and experiences like this are exactly why. When someone takes the time to make an online customer several states away feel just as important as the person walking through their front door, you remember it.
And I have to mention the selection because I originally came for the kids…and then discovered all the things I wanted for myself! They have such a great mix of unique, fun, and beautiful finds. It’s the kind of shop where you go looking for one thing and suddenly realize you’ve found five more things you didn’t know you needed.
There are thousands of places to shop online, but exceptional customer service is what turns a first-time customer into a repeat customer. Birdie’s at the Barn did exactly that for me.

I love a good trip to Birdie’s. First off, the location really sets the tone of what’s to come with cute flags and some sidewalk toys. Then you walk in and you are immediately in kid land. From floor to ceiling it’s adorable toys, stuffies and other activities for children, teens, and adults alike. The other two rooms as you go more into the store are just as visually appealing. The staff are also incredibly helpful and will even offer to order something that they don’t have and will let you know when it comes in.
Highly recommend if you are in the Hartford or Wethersfield area , put a trip to Birdie’s on your list!
Hands down, Best Toy Sore around! Everything you would want in a small town store. Great staff and customer service. It's an experuence worth any drive!

Love this watering can! My 2 year old is a big help in the garden and loves to play with water. He is a big fan! It is a great 1L watering can, joins between top and bottom don't leak, the spray head works great and the two handles make it easy to use.
Birdies is our go to spot for gifts for our nieces and nephews! The Birdies team is always so helpful & kind - and we find the cutest most unique gifts.
